I have both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Mathematics and began working as a math instructor at a university at 24, where I have earned rave reviews from full-time faculty and students. I have had the good fortune of being a private tutor for several years and helped many students learn to love math and reach new heights. I have worked with students from all the top local high schools and colleges in the greater New York City area in a wide variety of math courses and standardized exams.
Jason is an exceptionally good tutor. I wouldn’t have made it through undergraduate calculous without him. He is very clear in his explanations and patient. I highly recommend him.
I had the great honor of being instructed by Jason Kapsack during my second semester at the City College of New York. He was assigned to teach us Integral Calculus. My first semester calculus did not go so well and I was quite nervous coming into my second semester of calculus. However, since the very first day, Jason made everything very convenient for us by properly explaining his expectations from us in order to succeed in the course. His teaching methods are fantastic. He teaches with a smooth pace; I never felt he was rushing. He has extremely good grasp upon the subject which enables him to explain so clearly that even the toughest topics becomes easily comprehensible. He is also extremely friendly. I have always felt I was learning from a friend or my elder brother instead of from a professor. We could ask him the same question over and over again and he would answer every time with a smile on his face without the slightest hint of being frustrated. I have rarely came across professors who cares for his/her students as much as he does. He used to stay longer hours after class to help us with any questions we had. If we ever found him in the library, we could walk up to him and ask for help. He was always there for us. During finals, he hosted extra review sessions and taught us for hours just to ensure that we learn properly and succeed in the course. This shows his thorough dedication towards his students and willingness to help them. Jason Kapsack is one of my most favorite math professors. He is an excellent individual, who is deeply passionate and dedicated towards teaching. I always feel extremely fortunate being his student. With his help and my hard work, I was able to succeed in course by getting an A and develop a very strong foundation of Calculus which I use daily being an engineering student.
