Hi everyone! I recently received my PhD in Neuroscience from UC Berkeley. I am eager to use my experiences as a research scientist to help students understand all aspects of molecular biology and chemistry. Almost everyday during my 10+ years of laboratory research I’ve had to confront and understand difficult concepts. I’ve developed techniques for understanding these concepts quickly and I have a passion for teaching chemistry and biology theories to others. I’ve taught courses in molecular and cellular biology at UC Berkeley as a graduate student instructor. I’ve also taught an advanced neuroscience course to inmates at San Quentin State Prison. As a biology major at Bard College, I tutored general and organic chemistry, molecular biology, and science writing. As a (recent) student myself I know how hard learning these topics can be. I feel that having a tutor is essential to solidifying core scientific ideas, and I am ready to help any student who is passionate about learning.
